3V: Motivation

Motivation is the factor that causes people to become committed and determined to accomplish something. It is the push that keeps us going. Everyone has their own method or form of it, and some have more of it than others. It is what makes doing things feel desirable and worthwhile. Without it, actions seem vapid and meaningless. This is an essential component in the journey to reaching happiness and self-fulfillment. As students we constantly use motivation to progress and to achieve our goals.

A new word I learned the meaning of this week is cogent. It means to be clear, reasonable, or with logic. This is significant because as critical thinkers being clear and logical is important in making effective statements and arguments.

Another word that I came across that I didn’t know the meaning of is slovenliness. It refers to disorderliness and being negligent. It is beneficial for us students to avoid this and prevent chaos by keeping our work organized.
