10V: Creativity

Creativity is the concept of using imagination and different modes of thought to produce original ideas and solutions. It is useful because it helps people become better problem solvers, it makes things more entertaining, and it leads to great creations. Without creativity there wouldn’t be any of the amazing inventions that we use today. They all involved a vision of something incredible such as having light bulbs or electricity and then a person’s hard work, effort, and intelligence to try and make such an idea become reality. We should use creativity so that we could continue to accomplish wonderful things and to make dreams possible.

One of the new words I learned this week is evocative. It means to bring up certain thoughts or memories. Being creative can involve bringing up certain thoughts to solve things that are unknown.
Another word I learned this week is transcendent. It means to go beyond experience and what is normal. Creativity is all about imagining new things that are different and that might seem unusual.
