Purpose is having a specific motive or reason for
something. We constantly search for purpose in the things we do on a daily
basis. It is what gives our lives meaning and is the motivation which keeps us
determined. As mentioned in this week’s readings people who give their lives
meaning or a purpose have increased “well-being and life satisfaction” because
they know the “why” and will try their best working on the “how”. People with meaning
are willing to face difficulties and to sacrifice happiness in order to fulfill
a greater purpose.
One of the words I became more familiar with this week
is manifest. It means to be clear or apparent.
I also learned the meaning of the word latent. In
contrary to the other word it means to be hidden, unseen, or undeveloped.
