11V: Innovation

Innovation is the act of creating or doing something new as a result of some kind of change or experimentation. The introduction of it usually suits a beneficial purpose to either an individual or society in general. We depend on such breakthroughs to keep improving aspects of life. Such as the invention of medicines which treat diseases and help people live for longer periods of time.

A new word I learned this week is cacophony. I came across it in one of this week’s readings and had no clue what it meant. It means to lack harmony or a mixture of unpleasing sounds or noise.
Another word I became familiar with is commodity. It means a material or product that could be bought and sold.
